ARMOR® DEICER

General Description
LIQUIDOW ARMOR* Deicer is a corrosion inhibited liquid solution form of calcium chloride. It is available in a 30% concentration. LIQUIDOW ARMOR Deicer meets or exceeds the corrosion specifications as developed by the Pacific Northwest States Coalition (PNS) and others using the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) Standard TM-01-69 (1976 rev.) as modified by the Pacific Northwest States Coalition (PNS).

LIQUIDOW ARMOR Deicer has a freeze crystallization point of -40慚. This minimizes the need for circulation but does not replace the need for agitation. Agitation or re-circulation is strongly recommended.

Applications: LIQUIDOW ARMOR Deicer was developed for winter road maintenance applications, including anti-icing, prewetting, and salt stockpile treatment.

As an anti-icer, LIQUIDOW ARMOR Deicer is typically used at rates of 20 to 50 gallons per lane mile. Of course, application rates vary with use for each set of storm conditions and level of service goals.
As a prewetting agent, LIQUIDOW ARMOR Deicer is typically used at rates of 6-10 gallons per ton of material. Prewetting with LIQUIDOW ARMOR decreases the amount of salt and abrasives lost to bounce and scatter, and increases the melt speed of salt.
As a stockpile treating agent, LIQUIDOW ARMOR Deicer keeps sand piles frost-free for easier loading and spreading.
